M18 The M18 was a reload able grenade launcher that could fire different types of ammunition. Despite its heavy weight it could be fired directly from a soldiers shoulder due it its weak recoil. The range was a little less than 4000 meters and it was a very effective support weapon. M20 The French also used the American M20 grenade launcher, a larger grenade launcher of the caliber 75 mm. It had a more powerful warhead but was heavier and more difficult to transport. Caliber: M18 – 57mm, M20 – 75mm. |
