MAS 36 CR39 is a carbine
version of the MAS 36 rifle and was designed for paratroopers and
was put into production in 1939. The mechanism is the same as in the
MAS 36, but the rifle is a bit more compact. It had a slightly
shorter barrel than the original, but its main feature is the
foldable aluminum stock witch makes it probably the only bolt action
rifle with this odd solution. |
