CHINESE (CHICOM) PISTOLS

China has a long tradition of automatic pistols since they started to appear on the market. De made copies of almost every famous model. The most popular pistols were the Mauser C96 and the Browning 1900 witch they made many different variants of, many very simplified. The markings on the pistols were often strange and mixed up, Mauser logons on a colt handgun and so on. Many guns had the same serial numbers, and a lot of the guns had false information, letters upside down, words misspelled or weird letter combinations.During World War Two the American Colt Government and the Canadian Browning “Hi Power” were very popular in China, witch was given large amounts by the allies to fight the Japanese. After the communists seized power in China they started to manufacture the Soviet Tokarev Mod 51.

Many different weapons from China were used in the Indochina war. Here are a few examples of Chinese pistols.
