DP 7.62 mm Ruchnoy Pulemyot

DP (Degtyaryova pakhotnyi) is a very simple, yet reliable weapon that was developed 1928 in the Soviet Union. The DP was tested in the Spanish revolutionary war and later used by the Soviets during World War Two as their standard light machine gun. The plate shaped magazine contains 47 rounds and the only real downside of the magazine is how thin it is. It could easily be damaged witch often resulted in feeding problems.
The weapon was improved several times, and ultimately released as a link fed machine gun.
