HOME MADE PISTOLS

The Vietnamese manufactured several pistols of their own, or copies on already existing models. The build these together from different parts, or converted the to now existing and more suitable ammunition. These weapons were often made during simple conditions, often in the jungle, with lack of sufficient tools. Sometimes they were made in simple, temporary “factories”, witch could consist of a metal lathe in a basement. These were hidden all around the country without the knowledge of the French.
