Type 96 LMG
 

The Japanese left several machine guns in Indochina after World War Two, witch were used by the Vietnamese communists mostly in the beginning of the war.
 

The Type 96 Shiki Kikanju 6.5mm was Japans standard liht machine gun. By the end of WWII a far superior designe a 7.7mm Type 99 light gun was manufacture but not in any high numbers.

Magazine: 30 round detachable box - needed a lot of oiling.
Ammunition: 6.5mm
Effective Range: 600 yds, because of the light 6.5mm bullet, far better on the 7.7mm.
